For oboe, clarinet ( = bass clarinet), cello, and harp | 16'

This piece combines traditional and non-traditional techniques of variation. In terms of expression, the piece is a conversation among four individuals, represented by each of the instruments; ideas are exchanged, differences emerge, and the topic begins to drift toward something different.
